What CodeLink stores and how to control it
Who operates CodeLink
CodeLink Consulting LLC operates codelink.ai. Contact support@codelink.ai with privacy questions or requests.
Information we use
- Account information: your email address, display name, verification state and optional profile image. Password sign-in uses a password hash. We store sessions and the information needed to maintain your account securely.
- Google sign-in: basic name, email and profile information and the account identifiers needed for sign-in. We do not request access to your Gmail messages, Drive files or other Google content.
- Membership: Stripe customer, subscription, checkout and invoice identifiers, membership status and billing periods. Stripe handles card and payment details on its own pages; we do not store card numbers.
- Your choices: saved businesses, language and interface preferences, and newsletter consent. Saved businesses are private to your account.
- Support and security: messages you submit and operational records used to investigate failures, prevent abuse and maintain the service. Hosting providers process technical request information such as IP addresses and browser details.
We use this information to provide sign-in, membership, saved research, requested email, support and service security. We do not sell your personal information or use it to create advertising profiles.
Service providers
Cloudflare hosts the application, database, file storage and transactional email delivery. Google handles optional Google sign-in. Stripe processes payments and maintains its own billing records. Our support address forwards incoming messages to the operator's Google-hosted inbox. These providers process information needed to provide their services under their own terms and privacy policies; their systems may operate in different countries.
Email and newsletter choices
Account verification, password reset and billing messages are operational emails. Newsletter updates require a separate opt-in under Settings → Notifications. Creating an account does not subscribe you. Consent is stored in CodeLink's own database. You can unsubscribe in Notifications or contact support. Editorial newsletters will include an unsubscribe method when sent.
Cookies and local storage
We use sign-in and security cookies and store interface preferences such as language and theme. See our Cookie Policy. The initial release has no advertising trackers or marketing analytics cookies.
Retention and account deletion
You can edit your display name and delete your account in Settings. Deletion requires a recent sign-in and successful cancellation of CodeLink subscriptions first. It removes your account, sessions, saved businesses, newsletter consent and local membership records. Stripe retains payment records according to its own obligations and retention policies. Support messages and security records may be kept as needed to resolve disputes, investigate abuse or meet applicable obligations. Backups and provider logs may retain records for their normal retention periods.
Your requests
Contact support to request access, correction or deletion of information, or ask about applicable privacy rights. We may need to verify that you own the account before acting. Do not send passwords or full card details in a support request.
Security and updates
We use encrypted transport, account ownership checks and restricted access to service credentials. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Changes to this policy will appear here with a new date; we will communicate material changes where required. Last updated October 10, 2026.
