Start as an editor, then sell the whole path to print

Who it’s for
A freelance editor, writer or coach who wants to turn one-off work into a small service business for authors.
The lesson
The founder began as a freelance book editor and added publishing when past clients kept asking how to get a finished manuscript into print. A first-time author wants one accountable team for the whole path from draft to launch, and that is easier to sell than editing alone.

Who pays and why

The buyers are authors of nonfiction, fiction and memoir who have a manuscript or a draft and do not know how to turn it into a book that can be sold. They are paying to avoid assembling an editor, designer, formatter and launch plan on their own. The offer also stresses that authors keep their royalties and the final creative decisions, which is a direct contrast with publishers that take a share of sales. A manuscript review comes first, so the author sees what needs to change before committing to a larger package.
